Bringing warmth to children
On August 28, workshop teacher Chong Poh Li together with Sun Group members Chiun Wei and Jing Yee visited SJK(C) Kuen Cheng 2 to distribute socks.
They were warmly received by Principal Nancy Chok Lee Lin, Vice Principal Wong Sue Chow and Counselor Siew Chia Hwee, while the students were already neatly assembled at the gathering point awaiting our arrival.
We introduced to the principal, teachers, and students the background of Lovely Disabled Home as well as the purpose of this project. The principal further emphasized that Lovely Disabled Home provides job opportunities for persons with disabilities, which is a truly valuable form of social care.
As the socks were handed to each child, their joy and satisfaction were clearly felt.
This time, not only were 94 students blessed, but the members of Lovely Disabled Home also personally experienced the truth that “it is more blessed to give than to receive.”
This moment reminded us once again that a simple pair of socks can carry immense warmth.
This year, socks will be lovingly delivered to B40 students and children from:
SJK(C) St. Teresa
SJK(C) Kwong Hon
Two Refugee Learning Centres
A Campaign with Double Impact
✔️ Warming the lives of underprivileged children
✔️ Empowering differently-abled individuals through meaningful work
Behind every pair of socks are the efforts and dedication of 57 friends with disabilities.
This is not just a gift—it is a testament to lives supporting one another.
Fundraising Goal
1,000 pairs of socks (RM10 per pair)
To support the training and work opportunities of Lovely Disabled Home members.
❤️ Sometimes, the most precious thing is not the size of the gift, but the connection between hearts.
A single pair of socks can link a child’s smile and the hopes of friends with disabilities.
Warm Feet, Warm Hearts
Spreading Love · Lighting Hope · Supporting the Work of People with Disabilities
On October 13, 2025, mentor Yong Xin led two members from the Sun Group — Lara and Chin Fatt — to SJK(C) Kwong Hon to deliver socks prepared by Lovely Disabled Home.
The students were polite and welcoming. Though we had never met before, each child greeted us warmly. Despite it being an exam day, the vice principal kindly assisted to ensure the smooth distribution of socks. The students lined up neatly, and every child who received a pair expressed heartfelt thanks.
