Lovely Disabled Home, established in 2005, is a non-governmental and non-profit disability centre now in its 19th year. The centre's goal is to provide employment opportunities for people with disabilities. In recent years, the number of members working at Lovely Disabled Home has increased from 6 to 70 in 2024, highlighting the centre's significant social responsibility. The purpose of organizing the charity run is to raise funds of RM300,000 for operations in 2025.
Apart from fundraising, the event also promotes Lovely Disabled Home's self-created sock brand - LDH Socks. Launched in 2015, the brand provides stable employment opportunities for workshop members to enhance their quality of life.
"Run for A Chance" at Kepong Metropolitan Park offers beautiful scenery and fresh air, welcoming friends, family, and colleagues to join the run. Supporters of the virtual run are not limited by location and can register from anywhere. The previous three editions of the online run attracted participants from the United States, New Zealand, Taiwan, Singapore, and other places.
We call on everyone to lead their colleagues or invite friends to participate in "Run for A Chance." Whether online or physical, let's promote disability awareness together - let's run for a chance!
